The grand tour of morocco

A tour that has been specially designed to include all the most famous points of interest in the Kingdom of the Chérifs‚ passing through the Imperial Cities and the Deep South‚ from the gateway to the desert to the Atlantic ocean.

The 15-day 14-night tour on bed and breakfast in four star hotels - is undertaken in a luxury‚ air-conditioned coach and fully escorted by an accompanying guide

Day 1 : Marrakesh - Arrival

Arrival at Marrakesh Menara airport - personal welcome and complimentary roses for the ladies‚ transfer to the hotel for Free free dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Marrakesh

After breakfast‚ begin your tour of the Red Pearl of Morocco. Founded in the 11th century  by Yussef Ben Tachfin among the Sites  you visit  the Koutoubia Mosque (from outside)‚ Saadians' Tombs‚ Bahia Palace .

Stop for free lunch. Later‚ we have a tour with browsing and shopping inside the souk‚ or market‚ beginning and ending at Jamaa El Fna square‚ a World Heritage Site.

Here you will see a medieval scene‚ complete with jugglers‚ fortune tellers‚ snake charmers‚ dancers‚ herbalists‚ food and juice vendors and experience all of the sites‚ sounds‚ smells‚ tastes and contrasts of this exotic place.

Day 3: Marrakesh - Ouarzazate

After breakfast we  leave  for Ouarzazate‚ Gateway to the Sahara Desert. En route‚ see the most exciting landscape of the high Atlas mountains ;cross the Tichka PASS 2260M high stop at  Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou‚ an exceptionally well-preserved site which was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 by UNESCO.

Quarzazate is also the administrative operations base for film companies where many famous films were made‚ among them: The Gladiator; The Four Feathers‚ Romancing the Stone‚ Cleopatra‚ Sheltering Sky‚ Jewel of the Nile and Lawrence of Arabia.. Arrive at Ouarzazate‚ Free dinner and overnight at your hotel

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Erfoud

After breakfast leave Ourzazate to Erfoud crossing the different vallies  like skoura and Dades valley famous about the culture of roses developed since 1986 allowing the farmers to increase their incomes ‚annually Kallat Magouna celebrate that famous rose festival on may.

Continue driving and crossing the route of 1000kasba to arrive to Todra gorges Have free lunch then continue to Erfoud‚ .Erfoud is the administrative center of the tafilalet

Day 5: Erfoud - Dunes of Merzouga

After breakfast  the visit of  Rissani town in which we find the mausoleum of MY Ali Acharif the founder of the Alaoui dynasty visit of the ruins Sijilmassa a city dating back from the 7 th century it was a really interesting city due to its strategic  point connecting Africa Middle east to the north of Africa.

The merchants came to  trade with the inhabitants of north Africa  free lunch in ERFOUD.

Afternoon drive to at your encampment and‚ later‚ the breathtaking sight of stars in the desert sky Merzouga the site its self is the ‚ highest in Africa and one  of  the filming sites for Lawrence of Arabia. And four feathers Camp over night in a nomad tent‚ furnished inside with a comfortable‚ clean cot and fresh linens and blankets set on colourful Moroccan carpets. Take an optional camel trek to watch the sun set behind the Sahara dunes. Enjoy free dinner and overnight in the camp

Day 6: Erfoud - Fez

After breakfast the drive to Fes stop to admire the landscape of ZIZ valley crossing Errachidia a new province of the south east of Morocco known  in the past by its different ksours continue driving  through the high Atlas and arrive to Midelt which is located between the two ranges  stop for free lunch .

After free lunch  continue driving to IFRANE an alpine town located in the middle of an attractive ceder forest  drive to fes .

Free dinner and overnight in  your  hotel.

Day 7: Fez

After breakfast at your hotel then set out for a city tour of Fez‚ the spiritual and intellectual capital of ancient Morocco.

Fez was the first Imperial City‚ founded in the 9th  by MOULAY idriss who came from the middle east .He established the first  Arab Dynasty. Among the sites you will see the impressive medina with its different gates‚ mosques‚ tanneries‚ Attarine Medrassa‚ Nejjarine fountain and Foundouq‚ the latter is housing a museum devoted to wood crafts in a beautifully restored 18th century building.

Free lunch in  typical Moroccan restaurant. Afternoon‚ visit the Dar Batha Museum‚ the mellah‚ or Jewish Quarter‚ the king's palace (from outside)‚ Bab Boujloud. Free dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 8: Fez - Volubilis- Meknes - Rabat

After breakfast‚ journey deep into the history of Morocco‚ Then drive to Volubilis‚  visit the  ruins of  Volubilis  which served as  the capital during Roman control of the area  founded by the king Juba the II‚ dating to the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.‚ World Heritage since 1994 the site enclose   a well preserved mosaics. After free lunch‚ start the city  tour of Meknes‚ a 17th century city whose medina has been classed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site‚ and an Imperial City. The city tour includes the  Sultan's Stables‚ Tomb of Moulay Ismail‚ ‚ Dar El Makhzen‚ then  Bab Mansour . Continue  to  Rabat Free dinner and overnight in Rabat

Day 9:Rabat - Casablanca

After breakfast  start the city tour  of Rabat ‚  the capital of Morocco‚and the residence of his Majesty Mohamed the sixth the third Imperial City‚  visit  the Palace (from outside)‚ Mohamed V Mausoleum‚ Hassan mosque‚ and Oudaya Kasbah. Have free lunch in Casablanca.

After Free lunch start the city of Casablanca the economical capital of Morocco founded in the 17th century by Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah well devellopped during frensh Protevtorate .Visit of Hassan II mosque cross the Corniche of Casablanca sea side  drive through Anfa quarter and continue  to Marrakech  .Free dinner and overnight in your Hotel.

Day 10:Casa- Oualidia- Essaouira

After breakfas  drive to Al jadida  founded in the XV th century by the Portuguese ‚ especially in a cistern which could hold enough water for 5‚000 people for two months.

 we visit the old Portuguese part with its Portuguese architecture stop to visit the cistern  and drive to AL oulidia crossing the Doukala land known about the production of vegetables and wheat stop for free lunch in al oulidia After free lunch  continue driving to Essaouira on the way stop to take pictures of argana trees Free dinner and overnight in your hotel

Day 11:Essaouira

After breakfast Start The ciry tour of Essaouira which was founded in 1760 on the site of a 7th century B.C. Phoenician settlement. In 1506‚ the King of Portugal built a great fort which he called Castello Real.

The old town and port‚ once called "Mogador‚" or the lookout‚ is encircled by 18th century battlements‚ offers a sandy beach stretching for miles to the south‚ while richly forested hills extend to the east. Overnight accommodation at the hotel.

Day 12: Essaouira - Agadir

After breakfast drive to the city of Agadir crossing the the Argan forest the local collect the fruit called argan and they be pressed in order to get some essential oil use for cooking or one for message on the way you can visit a cooperative to know about the process of production of argan oil continue to Agadir upon arrival check in your hotel. Free free dinner and overnight in your hotel

Day 13: Agadir

After breakfast start the city tour of Agadir known under trhe name of Santa cruz during the portugese invasion liberated in the XVI century by the Saadi dynastyStop in the port considered as one of the important fishing center in morocco for the capture of Sardines visit the Kasbah .Afternoon free at leisure Free free dinner and overnight in your hotel

Day 14: Agadir - Marrakesh

After breakfast drive to Marrakech upon arrival‚ check in your hotel. Installation at your hotel. Free afternoon at leisure. Overnight accommodation at your hotel

Day 15: Departure

After check out‚ you will be transported to the airport at Marrakech for your return flight home. This concludes the services of Global International Tours
